About
Tara Blake is a writer of fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. Her literary fiction explores themes of the human condition, complexity, recurrence and death. Her non-fiction focuses on society, politics, and government effectiveness.
Alongside writing, Tara leads large-scale programmes of change and transformation for the UK government. She previously held senior leadership roles during the COVID-19 pandemic and worked internationally delivering hospital and healthcare infrastructure projects. This experience informs much of her non-fiction, where she examines leadership, complexity theory, and the challenges of government delivery.
Tara is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Leeds, applying complexity theory to the implementation gap in public policy.
